Dr. Nicole Acevedo is a reproductive and environmental health scientist with over 20 years of expertise in understanding the human health risks of everyday exposure to harmful chemicals. She has over 8 years of experience integrating actionable sustainability strategies into business practices and is passionate about fostering collaboration for sustainable material integration throughout the value chain through innovation thinking and solution building.
In 2017, she founded Elavo Mundi Solutions, a scientific consultancy that provided cosmetic brands and retailers industry-leading strategies for chemical management and disclosure. As Director of Material Health & Integrative Toxicology at WAP Sustainability Consulting, Nicole leads initiatives that help clients across a variety of sectors integrate safer, more sustainable chemistries throughout their value chain and the marketplace through innovation thinking. Nicole also proudly serves on the Board of several national non-profit organizations dedicated to science-based education, the acceleration of safer chemical innovation and implementation, consumer advocacy, and community empowerment.
