Director of Climate Equity & Resilience, Comite Civico del Valle (CCV)
Based in California’s Imperial Valley, home to the highest lithium concentrations in the U.S., CCV has a network of over 50 air monitors, which provide real-time data to residents, schools, and public agencies to understand and reduce air pollution exposure. Christian will discuss how CCV’s community air monitoring system detects and measures air quality changes, enabling communities to monitor health impacts, inform policy development, participate in planning, and reduce exposure to hazardous substances in regions near the lithium battery supply chain.
