April 13, 2017 Bulletins

Dear Friends of Clean Production Action,bev_7-22-2011-1-17-7-cropped_copy 2

I have so much news to share with you. Here are the quick highlights. We:

From here in Amsterdam at the Kingpins Show, CPA launched GreenScreen Certified™. Kingpins is where the denim supply chain comes together to discuss and share ideas for a more environmentally and socially responsible industry. Our new certification for textile chemicals meets industry demand for safer chemicals in manufacturing and communicates the use of those chemicals across supply chains.

gsc_core_logo_2017_resized 4The certification program builds on GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals, the globally recognized tool for chemical hazard assessment used by governments, companies, and certification standards to encourage the design and use of inherently safer chemical ingredients. As CPA's Executive Director, Dr. Mark Rossi explains, “For years brands and manufacturers have asked us, ‘How can I use GreenScreen to identify and showcase safer chemical formulations?’ Our new certification for the textile industry answers that call.” For more details, read our press release

Garmon 7First to certify products to our standard is Garmon Chemicals, the forward-looking Italian firm in the R&D and marketing of total chemical solutions for garment finishes. Alberto De Conti, Chief Marketing Officer at Garmon Chemicals, highlights: “GreenScreen Certified™ gives us the platform to clearly communicate our commitment to environmentally sound solutions for the denim and fashion industries.” Forty of Garmon’s formulations meet GreenScreen Certified criteria.

To learn more about GreenScreen Certified™, join Alberto, Mark, and me for our upcoming webinar. Here are the details:
