Strategic Director, Cancer-Free Economy Network
Debra Erenberg brings more than twenty years of experience in strategic collaborations, movement building, advocacy, and organizing. Her recent work has included consulting on network best practices; developing a guide to building coalitions to combat anti-Semitism and hate crimes for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe; serving as National Field Coordinator for the Peoples Climate Movement’s 2017 March for Climate, Jobs and Justice; and designing a strategy for an environmental health approach to clean energy advocacy. As Director of State Affairs at Justice at Stake, she oversaw the organization’s efforts to advocate for fair and impartial state courts and to promote diversity on the bench. As Midwest Regional Director for Amnesty International USA, Debra served as the lead staff person on human rights advocacy efforts in 13 states. Prior to joining Amnesty, Debra was Organizing Director for Rainforest Action Network, overseeing grassroots education, training, outreach and online organizing programs. She holds a J.D. from George Washington University National Law Center, a Master’s degree in Public Policy (M.P.P.) from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
