Job Description

October 03, 2023 Bulletins

Clean Production Action is a dynamic, not-for-profit, solutions organization. Our mission is to design and deliver strategic solutions for green chemicals, sustainable materials, and environmentally preferable products. We simplify the complexity of toxicity to make it easier for business, governments, investors, health care organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to make informed decisions in eliminating toxic chemicals and using safer solutions.

We seek an entrepreneurial, strategic, collaborative, detail-oriented, and experienced leader to direct our rapidly growing GreenScreen® program. The Director of GreenScreen is responsible for developing and growing our GreenScreen family of tools:

  • GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals: chemical hazard assessment method that simplifies and clarifies identifying safer chemicals through five easy to understand benchmarks. Over 900 chemical benchmark scores are accessible through our GreenScreen Registry.
  • GreenScreen List Translator™: quick screening tool that identifies thousands of known chemicals of high concerns to human health and the environment.
  • GreenScreen Certified®: ecolabel for products free of PFAS and thousands of other toxic chemicals. Our nonprofit, independent certification simplifies the selection of environmentally preferable products for purchasers and communicates preferred chemistry requirements to manufacturers. GreenScreen Certified® products now total hundreds of products across six product categories including food service ware, furniture and fabrics, firefighting foam, and cleaners and degreasers used in manufacturing operations.

Successful candidates will be skillful in growing the use and dissemination of our GreenScreen tools, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and effectively managing the GreenScreen program.
